FAQs

How do I get a quote?

E-mail pictures and basic dimensions of your furniture (width, depth, and height). Please also include your phone number. We will quote the estimated labor and tell you how many yards of fabric or leather your project will require. We try to get back to you within three to five business days with your quote.

Can I provide my own material?

Yes, of course. Please advise us if you are intending on providing your own material when you ask for the estimate. Patterned fabric might change the yardage amount because of the need for pattern matching. All C.O.M Fabrics will

need approval as suitable for upholstery.

How do I choose custom fabric?

After you receive your quote, we recommend you come into our showroom to look at fabrics. We have thousands of choices! If possible, please bring pictures of your room or something you like for a design direction. We can help guide you through the process. You may also check out samples to look at in your home.

When can I come in?

Any time from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. from Monday-Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome. We have an open-door policy during business hours. We’re open by appointment only on Fridays.

How do I know if my sofa or chair has a good frame and is worth reupholstering?

A frame is the essential element in the structure. If it's solid, it is well worth having it reupholstered. A good frame is made of hardwood, such as oak, alder, or maple. Hardwood is strong and has longevity. A clue is its weight. Hardwood is heavy. That is why furniture salespeople often lift up one end of a sofa to demonstrate its quality. If you’re unsure of the quality of the frame, we can help you figure it out.

Who do you work with?

We work with individuals, designers, and architects to help create custom furniture or reupholster beloved pieces.

How are your project costs figured?

We weigh many factors when estimating the cost. Each project is different and priced accordingly.

How do I get my project into the queue?

We require a 40 percent deposit of the total amount of the invoice to put your project into our work queue. The remainder of payment is due when the order is complete. We typically have a 20 to 22 week backlog.

How do I pay you?

We accept cash, checks, and credit or debit cards. Accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

How soon will my project be finished?

Call us for a current work timeline. We normally will only need your furniture in our workshop for 10 to 14 business days.
