When you walk into Kepler’s, you will receive outstanding service and the finest artisanship in high-end, reupholstered furniture or custom-crafted furniture.
Our founder, Charles Kepler, learned his skills from his father, Johann Michael Kepler, who brought his European tools and knowledge of fine upholstered furniture when he immigrated to the United States during the late 1800s. Charles founded Kepler’s Upholstery in 1900.
Owner Brian Ankele, Charles’ great-grandson, upholds the family tradition by crafting beautiful, well-constructed furniture to your design specifications.
Working in the furniture and upholstery business for more than 40 years, Brian loves every part of the process: working with the customers, helping design new and reupholstered pieces, cutting, patterning, and seeing the final product.
We love to keep furniture with good bones from ending up in the dump. We go above and beyond in everything we do, valuing kindness, outstanding customer service, and the highest standard of quality.
Brian savors the exchanges when customers bring in furniture that has been in their family for years. One customer brought a rocking chair she had used to rock each one of her children to sleep. Now she planned to give the rocking chair to her granddaughter. When the customer stopped by the shop to see our work in progress, she screamed in genuine happiness.
In addition to Brian’s 43 years of experience in upholstery and furniture, he has built an outstanding team of artisans who share his passion for quality and service. Most of our employees have been with us for decades.
We treasure their skills, loyalty, and knowledge. They are our biggest asset.
Let us transform your interiors with beautiful upholstered pieces, either custom built or your family heirlooms. We have an extensive line of amazing fabrics for your selection. We love to work with our customers on design and decorating ideas.
